What We Collect, and What We Don't
Two things on this site ask for your details: the Bougie Digest signup and the contact form. This page says what happens to each.

Joining the Bougie Digest
The signup asks for your email address and nothing else. It is stored on this website so we can send you the digest, and it is not passed to an advertiser, a data broker or anyone else. Every digest we send carries a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you by writing to hello@bukdandbougie.com.
Sending us a message
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, what the message is about and the message itself. It is emailed to the book club so we can reply, and it is kept in that mailbox as any email would be. We use it to answer you, not to add you to the digest — joining is a separate choice you make yourself.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your details, and we don't share them except where the law requires it.
- We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't profile you across other websites.
- We don't ask for payment details on this site. Donations go through Paystack, who handle that themselves.
Other people's sites
Some buttons take you elsewhere: Amazon for the books and the store, Substack and WhatsApp for the community, Paystack to donate, and our social profiles. Once you land there you are on their site, under their privacy policy, and what they collect is theirs to explain.
Keeping it, and asking for it back
We keep a subscription for as long as you want the digest, and a message for as long as we might reasonably need to refer back to it. Write to hello@bukdandbougie.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted, and we will do it.
Changes
If this page changes we will change the date at the top. Questions about any of it can go to hello@bukdandbougie.com.
